There have been a lot of questions lately regarding Darren's plans after Spin and in particular for 2003. As Crush is the last single to be released from Spin in the world outside of America, Darren plans to take some down time in the first half of the year with very tentative plans to go into the studio around July. In his time off Darren plans to take some classes at University (for fun), work on his guitar, write some songs and most importantly raise his new puppy (photos to come!). Obviously after 2 years of making and promoting Spin he is going to enjoy the next 6 months 'off' while preparing for the next chapter in his career. One thing we can tell you for sure is that he will be editing and piecing together the DVD of the Too Close For Comfort tour with Director Grant Marshall, with hopes for a release later in the year. Although he'll be keeping a low profile, we'll obviously be keeping fanclub members up to date on the details of his down time. Oh and that puppy.

#19 Debut for Crush in the UK

Crush has entered the UK chart at #19. This is good considering the lack of availablity of the singles at some stores in the UK.

Meanwhile here is Darren Hayes who just about manages to maintain his own 100% record of solo Top 20 hits, in the process beating by a single place the chart peak of his last single Miss You which charted back in November. Something tells me some brand new material will restore him to the Top 10 - this is after all the fourth single from the album.
I Miss You video on Rage

Australians have the chance to see the I Miss You video early tomorrow (Saturday) morning on Rage just after 5am.
Editors Note: The Dallas Austin mix of the song was used for the video here instead of the Album mix which was used in the UK and Europe.

The I Miss You video has won a Gold Award for Tim McGahan in the category of 'Music Clips' from the Australian Cinematographers Society.
Crush is now out in the UK and has been receiving a great response on radio and TV although there have been issues with obtaining the single in shops around the UK. Order your copies of CD1 from Amazon UK and CD2 from Amazon UK or order the set from eil.com
There are also several reviews of Crush on the Sony UK Microsite.
